Welcome to Quicks. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of quicksrecipes.com (the “Site”), operated by Quicks (“Quicks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that breaks any applicable law or regulation;
  • Copy, republish, sell, or redistribute our content, except as allowed in Section 3;
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to collect content or data from the Site without our written permission;
  • Upload or send viruses, malware, spam, or any harmful code;
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems;
  • Interfere with the Site’s advertising or its normal operation;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your connection with any person or organization.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, crochet and amigurumi patterns, tutorials, photos, graphics, logos, and the “Quicks” name, is owned by Quicks or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws.

What you may do:

  • Print or save a pattern for your own personal use;
  • Make and keep items from our patterns, and give them as gifts;
  • Share a link to our pages, or share one photo with a clear credit and a link back to the original page.

What you may not do without our written permission:

  • Republish, translate, or distribute our patterns or tutorials, in full or in part, on any website, social media account, book, or digital file;
  • Sell our patterns, or claim them as your own;
  • Use our photos or content to train or build any artificial intelligence or machine learning product.

Selling finished items. Unless a pattern says otherwise, you may sell small quantities of handmade items you make from our patterns, as long as you credit Quicks as the pattern source. Mass production is not allowed.

4. User Content

If you post comments, photos, or other content on the Site or submit it to us (“User Content”):

  • You keep ownership of your User Content.
  • You give Quicks a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, edit for length or clarity, and share your User Content on the Site and on our social media channels, with credit where reasonable.
  • You confirm that you own or have permission to share the content, and that it does not violate anyone’s rights or any law.
  • You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, misleading, or infringing, or that contains spam or advertising.

We may review, edit, refuse, or remove any User Content at any time, for any reason, without notice.

5. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@quicksrecipes.com that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed;
  3. The URL or location of the material on the Site;
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

We may remove the material and, in appropriate cases, block users who repeatedly infringe.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Links

The Site shows advertisements from third parties and may contain links to other websites, such as yarn shops, tool makers, and pattern designers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party ads, websites, products, or services. Your dealings with any advertiser or third party are solely between you and them. How advertising partners use cookies is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Product Reviews and Recommendations

Reviews and recommendations on the Site reflect our honest opinions at the time of writing. Prices, availability, and product details may change. If we ever receive compensation for a mention or link, we will disclose it as required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

8. Crafting Safety Disclaimer

Our patterns, tutorials, and tips are provided for general information and entertainment. Results depend on your skill, materials, and technique, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome. Crochet items and amigurumi may contain small parts, such as safety eyes, buttons, or beads, that can be a choking hazard. Always use child-safe materials and supervise children when making items for babies or young children. You are responsible for the safety of any item you make, give, or sell.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUICKS AND ITS OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR MATERIALS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THEM MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Quicks and its owners, contributors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else’s rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Site, or remove your content, at any time and for any reason, without notice. Sections 3, 4, and 9 through 14 will continue to apply after termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the State in which Quicks is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at contact@quicksrecipes.com and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any claim that cannot be resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in that State, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arises. You and Quicks agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as part of any class or representative action, to the extent permitted by law.

14. General

  • Changes: We may update these Terms at any time by posting the new version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the changes.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Quicks about the Site.
  • Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will stay in effect.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours without restriction.
